First Thoughts Before You Travel!
The time of year is so important; this can dictate what attractions will be open and when the weather might be best!
The crowds are much smaller during the off peak months (October – March) but the weather is also non reliable at this time of year! It’s March and we currently have 3 foot of snow!
We would recommend coming at either the start of the peak season or May/June or September/October to enjoy Scotland without having to queue at every turn! In saying this, we can assist you all year round as there are some amazing things to do and see, specifically August!Budget can be important also, as Scotland has a sliding scale of costs! August, The International Fringe Festival!
August is one of Scotland’s busiest times of the year, especially for Edinburgh. The international festival comes to Edinburgh for the whole month bringing some of the world best entertainers and acts to Scotland. Showcasing the best of the world’s talent. This is one of the most expensive times of the year to visit Scotland but is also one of the best experiences. Be prepared for busy streets, sold out hotels and tickets in short supply. The Tattoo runs every night apart from Sundays throughout August so there are plenty opportunities to see the show!
