Sold for $55 million
A kaleidoscope of rare diamonds, this is a timepiece designed to turn heads. Covered in rare diamonds in a myriad of different cuts and finishes it is a remarkable model not easily forgotten.
2) Graff Diamonds The Fascination
Sold for $40 million
A glistening masterpiece, this model features a 153 carat bracelet with the centre stone weighing an incredible 33 carats alone.
3) Breguet Marie-Antoinette Grande Complication Pocket Watch
Sold for $30 million
Designed by Breguet himself for the eponymous royal, this model actually wasn’t finished until after they had both passed away. The luxury timepiece was stolen in 1983 and not rediscovered until 2007.
4) Chopard 201-carat watch
Sold for $25 million
As the name suggests this brilliantly bright watch, made in 2000, weighs a staggering 201 carats.
5) Patek Philippe Henry Graves Super Complication
Sold for $24 million
A marvel of design, this timepiece was originally commissioned in 1933 for just $15,000, with inflation bringing it to $202,000. The model was sold to an unknown bidder at auction in 2014.
6) Jacob & Co Billionaire Watch
Sold for $18 million
Set with crystal clear baguette diamonds this watch is a sight to behold. It is complete with a skeleton movement.
7) Patek Philippe Ref 1518 in Stainless Steel
Sold for $11 million
Issue number one of only four of its kind, this is the only perpetual calendar chronograph made in steel
8) Diamond Hublot Big Bang
Sold for $5 million
It wouldn’t be a list of the 10 most expensive watches without the chance to name-drop a few celebrities. Superstar songstress Beyoncé gifted this show stopping model, encrusted with 1,282 diamonds, to her husband Jay Z for his 43rd birthday.
9) Louis Moinet Meterois
Sold for $4.6 million
For almost $5 million you would expect a timepiece that is out of this world and the Louis Moinet Meterois delivers exactly that. The model came in four variations with each containing different space rock – Moon, Mars, Rosetta Stone and Asteroid. This design was limited to just 12 pieces.
10) Breguet Boutique No 2667
Sold for $4.6 millionCrafted in 18k gold, this stunning timepiece features two complete movements.
